A Message from the Assistant Principal

A Message from the Assistant Principal

Dear Liberty Families,

I am honored to have the opportunity to briefly introduce myself.  My name is Megan Urban, and I have the privilege of fulfilling the role as Assistant Principal of Liberty Elementary.

I earned my undergraduate degree, special education with a dual certificate in elementary education, at Eastern Illinois University. I recently earned my master’s degree, principal leadership, at Governor’s State University.   I taught as a special education teacher for eleven years in a variety of settings, and loved every second of it! Having the opportunity to be an administrator at Liberty Elementary is an exciting step in my career and I can’t wait to partner with the Liberty students, families, and staff.  My goal at Liberty Elementary is to maintain a positive learning environment where all students feel safe and have the resources they need to be successful.

I am very confident that the Liberty Elementary staff will continue to meet the intellectual, physical, and social/emotional needs of your children, our students.  Partnering with you and your children, I am looking forward to the 2018-2019 school year. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to call our main office or email me.  I believe open communication is very essential in a school and encourage you to reach out to Mrs. Imbordino or myself with any questions you may have. I look forward to meeting you and thank you in advance for welcoming me into this remarkable learning community.

To empower all children to achieve their maximum potential defines the cardinal way here at Liberty Elementary. You can be assured that I will uphold these values personally, as your Assistant Principal. Thank you for your time and your continued support.

Cordially,

Megan Urban

Assistant Principal
