A Message from the Assistant Principal

Dear Liberty Elementary Families,
It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the
newly appointed Assistant Principal of Liberty Elementary School. My name is Erin
Allison and I am honored to have this opportunity and to become a part of the Liberty
family. I am committed to working in partnership with Mrs. Imbordino, the students, the
parents, and the staff to nurture the academic, social, and emotional development of
our students.
I was born and raised in Lockport, but have spent much of my professional career in
Southern Illinois. I graduated from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale in 2010 with
my Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education and once more in 2017 with my Master’s
Degree in Educational Administration. I was a classroom teacher within the
Murphysboro School District for eight years, before I become the Assistant Principal at
Murphysboro High School in 2018. I truly enjoyed every moment I spent in
Murphysboro, however after being away from family for many years, we made the
decision to move back to Lockport this past June.
As the assistant principal, I will work to support students academically, socially, and
emotionally. My goal is to maintain a positive and safe learning environment where
every child is provided the support and resources necessary to reach their fullest
potential. I, without a doubt, believe that our students are our future, and it takes all of
us to be engaged in their education. I feel so lucky to be a part of a school community
that is filled with enthusiasm about education and a staff that is truly dedicated to the
success of every student.
I am very much looking forward to meeting each of you over the course of the next
school year. I believe in having strong communication between home and school. Please
know my door is always open to help support you in any way possible. I’m excited for
August and to officially become a Cardinal!
